Abstract |
We propose to obtain improved radial velocity data for the high-mass X-ray binary 4U 1907+09. The secondary is a heavily reddened V = 16.4 O or B star with an orbital period of 8.38 days. The spectrum contains photospheric lines of He I, H_alpha in emission, and numerous interstellar lines in absorption (van Kerkwijk et al. 1989, A&A, 209, 173). |
